As a Computer Repair Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and restore desktops, laptops, printers, and servers while helping reduce electronic waste and increase access to affordable technology.
Education Requirements - High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience Requirements - Previous experience working with computers, electronics, or hardware repair preferred
- Familiarity with PC and Mac operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware is a plus
Job Duties - Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and server equipment
- Inspect, test, and evaluate incoming electronics
- Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble computer equipment
- Record repairs, configurations, and inventory information accurately
- Sort and classify electronic equipment for refurbishment or reuse
Physical Capabilities - Ability to lift and move computer equipment throughout the workday
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks
- Manual dexterity to handle small components and repairs
